Yorkshire Gig Guide Awards- Ceremony; Celebrating Grassroots Music Sunday October 9th- 2016, 8.00pm -11.00pm

We are thrilled to announce that the award ceremony will be held at Marsden Jazz Festival in The Mechanics Memorial Hall October 9th 2016. We’re excited- The Grassroots Awards ceremony is very very soon now- please come and join in the celebrations-

The evening will include live music from award winning band Barcode Zebra, food and of course the awards ceremony hosted by Chris (the man in a hat) Martin, in a celebration of Yorkshires grassroots music. price includes food (vegetarian option available)

The evening includes a light supper reflecting the tradition of Marsden- Sop Supper. A sop supper is a large teacake (the Yorkshire sort, no fruit!) with slow cooked beef and onions with gravy. Seriously yummy. Also a vegetarian option - ratatouille.

- please let me know if there are any vegetarians coming so I can plan the food.

The Ceremony will take place between 8.00pm and 11.00pm.

We will have a stage area in the hall (indoors) and an area for people to sit and eat. Of course there is a bar and delicious local beers.

We are definitely not salubrious- very down to earth and grass-rootsy. Dress code is however you feel comfortable- It will be a fun night where we all celebrate and value the great work done by everybody involved in getting local music out- the diverse creativity that is Yorkshires grass roots music scene.

The winners will be announced at the award ceremony.
