Reflections and gossip from ‘old

stage prop Suggy’ (Andrew Sugden Editor)

We’ve been working on improving how YGG looks and

feels, to make for you our readers, a better more relaxed

experience. To that end we now use easier to read internet

fonts (Georgia and Trebuchet) and, under Joe Grint’s

(Deputy Editor) influence, moved to a single column format

- so no more scrolling up and down to read features.

We have also simplified our index, to make it easier to navigate pages. We welcome comments from you andrew@yorkshiregigguide.co.uk

So to this edition, Hot July, full July, packed with lots of previews of things yet to come and reviews of some lovely Yorkshire events already enjoyed.

Tony also explores, in his feature, whether it is the singer or the song that attracts us to gigs>.

Meanwhile festivals abound, with previews of Shuttle Shuffle> and Deer Shed Festival>

The Beverley Fringe was a delightful festival, see Andrew Sugden’s review>

Tim Hey Wilson also shares his experience of the exciting Dragon Boat Festival> held near Shipley.

The Yorkshire Gig Guide Grassroots Awards is running at a pace as the public vote hots up, catch up with it here>

We hope you enjoy this edition and look forward to catching up with you at a gig nearby, as always, come up and say hello.
